CM Award for Excellence in e-Governance for Students
The Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in e-Governance for students was instituted vide reference G.O. (MS) No.5, Information Technology Department (e-Gov.II) dated 30.01.2012. The award seeks to encourage and create awareness on e-Governance among the youth, students and e-Governance enthusiasts, by having a competition for development of innovative e-Governance Software application and honouring the winners.
Students above the age of 18 years, studying in polytechnic, engineering colleges, arts and science colleges and universities are eligible. The applicants should submit a project abstract under any of the following categories,
Based on this, Government has decided to institute an award each for the following three categories every year through a State Level Competition:
Development of Applications using Data Analytics
Development of Applications using Mobile Technology
Development of Applications for Artificial Intelligence
The above categories could be revised each year depending on need / technology. To solve the problems posed to technology students for innovative solutions in the following sectors like Education, Health, Women Safety, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Environment and Sanitation, Government Services Delivery, Citizen access to Public resources, Disaster Management including outreach volunteering & search rescue & information dissemination system.
The team size should be four to six students and each college can nominate one team in each category. The principal of the respective college must verify and approve the project before sending the nomination in the prescribed format.
The prize money for each category would be Rs. 2 Lakhs, trophy and certificates for the winning teams.
